People Matter Stories: Behind Sarah's Continuous Improvement

“Our team looks at the processes and systems that we use at Zoom and sees how we can make them better.” This is how Sarah explains her role as a Continuous Improvement Consultant at Zoom Recruitment.

SARAH'S JOURNEY AT ZOOM RECRUITMENT

Four years ago, Sarah started out working as a receptionist at Zoom Recruitment after completing her studies in digital media. She moved on to doing admin support and consulting for the Industrial Team, but it’s when the candidate onboarding process moved online that Sarah really got involved in the projects that would lead to her current role. In the last 2 years, she’s worked specifically on digitalisation – making our business processes work for people through digital technology.

We asked her manager Kyle, Zoom Recruitment’s National Continuous Improvement Manager, how he knew that Sarah was the right fit for her current role. He explained, “Sarah was already a valued member of the operations team at head office. She was aware of the issues we faced from a front office perspective and when we spoke to Sarah about the direction we were heading, she was quick to offer valuable ideas and insights.”

MAKING PEOPLE MATTER

Sarah’s current work streamlines and improves the end-to-end recruitment processes for internal staff and candidates all over Australia. She also provides training for internal staff on our systems and processes, and occasionally goes to work sites for rollouts on the different systems we implement.

Feedback from clients and staff is essential to Sarah’s role because what she puts in place really affects people. And this is exactly how she Makes People Matter - by ensuring that the processes and systems at Zoom make things easier and more accessible for people.
