On the 8^th of March, we celebrated International Women’s Day in a very special way through a partnership with one of our biggest Transport and Logistics clients.

One of our account managers, Mina, joined me on-site to deliver flowers and celebrate together with our staff. It was an exceptional experience to be part of our client's inspiring initiative on such an important day and, of course, we were thrilled to be there supporting our external workforce.

Our client approached us about their initiative of recognising women and the influence they’ve had on the industry to find out if we’d be interested in joining in on their celebration. Their plan was to show appreciation for the way women have contributed to the workplace by surprising all the female staff on-site with fresh flowers and a spread of sweet treats during their tea break. Because we never leave anyone behind, we partnered with our client to ensure that our Zoom Recruitment staff would also receive flowers and that their hard work would be acknowledged.

In true Zoom Recruitment style, my mum, Vesna, generously offered to help us prepare for the on-site celebration. The day before International Women’s Day, she went out and bought the paper and ribbons for the bouquets, and then made her way to our Dandenong South office to arrange the flowers for our staff.

The result of her kind effort was an array of beautiful bouquets, ready to be taken to site on International Women’s Day.

The theme of this year’s International Women’s Day is ‘Break the Bias’ – a reminder to call out bias, stereotypes and discrimination so that we can move towards a gender equal world.

It's so great to work with partners who hold events like this to celebrate diversity. We really appreciate the warehouse management team’s efforts to make an impact on women's lives by giving importance to a celebratory day that supports equality.
